She loved everyone and everyone she touched loved her. She is with our Lord now, called home out of this world of tribulation we live in today. I will miss her so much. MARCH 19, 2007: My wife lived her life serving her Lord Jesus and her husband (me) and she died in the Faith as she lived her life in the Faith. God called her home quickly with little or no suffering. One day I was talking to her and 12 hours later she was in heaven! She lived the true Christian life and died like only a true Christian can. Again I miss her so much. Though the following is not scripture it describes my wife's heart to serve Jesus and her fellow man. Her "light" was Jesus... MEMORIES Posted December 25, 2007This is my first Christmas without my wife in 47 years! It has been a rough morning for me so I came into my office. Though I was the driving force for SIGNS International Ministries my wife was the driving force behind me. She held me up in PRAYER and so many other ways! She is still praying in heaven I believe or I could not continue on. I know she would want the ministry we began together to continue. I cannot help that I miss her so very mush anymore than I can help breathing. I miss my BEST FRIEND on whom I bounced off all my ideas AND most of all the discussions we had every time I updated this website. Many times we are in places in our lives where we feel there is only a limited amount of Christian Fellowship available, or our families and/or work prohibit our spending the time we need to spend with those of like spirits. We realize that we live with such things every day, but we should not be discouraged. A women’s group can make a difference! Although we each work in our own place and in our own way, we can be united knowing that we may be a remnant but what a wonderful body of believers we are when united in Faith and Service! DEVOTIONALS... Sunday 11/5/06... PSALM 104:30-31 “Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created: and thou renewest the face of the earth. The glory of the Lord shall endure for ever: the Lord shall rejoice in his works.” WOW! He has given us so much that we can really be in His presence no matter where we are. We can walk in His path and know He has given us so much. He shall endure forever! I thank God He allows us to go through some things but He also gives us the strength. He also allows struggles that build our strength and He brings us out of that when we hold on to Him. I just thank Him because He is our loving God. He watches over all. Sunday 10/15/06... PSALMS 5:11 “But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.” As long as we continue to lift up His name knowing that He is the way, the only way we can have the joy in our hearts. Because that joy in our hearts helps us to get through all the things that we need to get through. He puts that joy there because there is no sadness then, only joy! Sunday 9/10/06... 1 Thessalonians 5:2-5 “For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh” Is that not the truth as we see it all around us and everybody still thinks that everything is going to be OK… “ then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.” As long as we continue to know the real truth of the Lord Jesus Christ we need not worry about what is coming. WE see it and we need to help others to see it also. There is destruction every day and it is going to continue to come until Christ comes. Sunday 9/3/06... As we live each day we need to remember who is in charge of our lives and what we do. Out of Thessalonians in chapter 1:2 “We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers; Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labor of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father.” Each day we need to remember that because we don’t just go from day to day and not remember that Christ is in charge of our lives. Sunday 8/27/06... 3 John verses 2-4 “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.” I just thank the Lord that we can walk in that truth. I we do not walk in the truth we are not believing God’s word as we should. We cannot continue our walk unless we do walk in God’s truth, especially in these last days we live in now! Sunday 8/13/06... The Lord gives us the right things at the right times and He never said it would be easy. In Ephesians 4:32... “And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.” If only more people could understand that! There is forgiveness and my heartaches for those that are lost that keep going on and on without thinking about what is coming. WE cannot give up especially on our families because they are important. Do not ever forget that! Be with your family because that is what we all need to do! We should never forget! Sunday 7/30/06... PSALMS 9:1-3 As we go forth and continue to do God’s work and prais“I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvelous works. I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High. When mine enemies are turned back, they shall fall and perish at thy presence.” As we go forth and continue to do God’s work and praise Him, and reaching out to the lost for they may fall if we do not get a hold of them. We need to reach out with joy in our hearts as we continue to try and save some. God has given us so much it is only right for us to do what we can to reach the lost. Sunday 7/30/06... PSALMS 89:1 “I will sing of the mercies of the Lord for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.” That is what we should be doing! Why? Because there are so many hurting people out there and they are not all down in New Orleans. There are many on the East coast also. Some are not far from us and many are destitute. It is the love of God that shines trough those that do His will that will help those in need. I just thank God I am a part of His remnant that is able to serve Him." PSALMS
25:1 “Unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul. 2.
O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies
triumph over me.” We need to continue doing the things the Lord would have
us to do by just being strong in Him. As we worship Him and feel His presence.
He then brings fort the things we need to understand. We are His, He lifts us up
and He will watch over us.
As we praise and worship we can bring our brothers and sisters in the
Lord before Him. I just thank the Lord for that opportunity! Sunday 5/28/06... PSALMS 27:14 “Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.” As we wait on Him and trust in Him this morning it also says in PSALMS 30:4 “weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.” And that is true! As we wait upon Him He brings joy into our life as we continue to serve him. He strengthens us and keeps us going. Satan would really love to get a lot of people but when you are an overcomer he cannot get you. When we know the joy is there ready to break forth and when we know the strength He gives us we are victorious. He fills us with Love and Joy and I thank God we can be part of His family.Sunday 5/21/06... PSALMS 5:11 “But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.” And how true that is! We can do that! The joy of the Lord is so lifting, giving us that closeness with Him. When we get into His word and study we know that we can also talk with Him, getting to know Him in a special way. We can reach out in Joy! It is such a joy to be able to do that. The world as we know it is coming to an end but there will always be joy in our hearts for we know we will be with Him!Sunday

4/23/06... Sunday 4/16/06... PSALMS 1:1-3 “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper." Sometimes as we read scripture we do not fully understand it. Sometimes it is best to go back and study again before continuing. It tells us though we may be standing in the midst of the enemy, we are still going forth in God to receive the strength and the other things He has for us. No matter how bad we might feel, we still need to stand! Those are the things satan wants us to feel but we can walk through it victoriously and be in His glory!Sunday 4/9/06... PSALMS PSALMS 18:1-3 “ I will love thee, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.” We are amongst the enemy! Yet He will save us and protect us because we need to continue to do His work. No matter how bad the enemy comes against us we just need to stand on the form foundation that He has given us. Because He is our rock and our fortress and our deliverer while He gives us the strength to stand firm on that rock and I just praise God! So we can continue, even knowing all the things that are coming forth, we can still stand on the rock.Sunday 4/2/06... PSALMS 9:1-2 “ I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvelous works. I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High.” AND… I just thank the Lord that I am here today. That I can be part of Him and His kingdom and rejoice in Him. It is so nice to know that and I just praise Him.Sunday 3/26/06... PSALMS 133:1 “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!” Unity is joining others when there is a chance of them joining us. Being one and working together to accomplish what God wants because that is what it is all about. We just have to try and be careful and let the Lord show us the good places and the bad places. We need to be aware that both the good and bad exist. But there still needs to be that unity because unity is very important. That is why it is important to gather together in God, which is very precious.Sunday 3/12/06... God is just so great! We see in His word how He tells us just what to do. 1st JOHN 1:6-7 “If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanses us from all sin.” I put a little note next to that verse that says “nobody is perfect.” Wee do need to continue to reach out to others and to walk in the light with one another, because that is what it is all about. If we are not going to that we are lying if we stick by ourselves and do not at least try. Then we are lying to God as well as ourselves. So we really need to reach out and touch one another in the fellowship that He would have us have. Then He will cleanse us from sin and we will be able to enjoy you more.Sunday 2/5/06... PSALMS 34:1 “ I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth…. V3. O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together… V8. “O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.” Isn’t that the truth! All we have to do is trust in Hum and we do find all that comfort and peace and joy that we need. The strength that He gives us allows us to continue on. Though sometimes we might not feel strong but it will come! We wake in the morning and we trust in Him. Even in the middle of the night we can pray but we can also just talk to Him and He will be there to listen. He is all the peace that you need. Just taste and see that the Lord is good! And remember, “blessed is the man that trusteth in Him.”Sunday 1/29/06... God is so good as He just lifts us up when we are down and pulls us out of the holes we fall into. It says in PSALMS 8:1 “O Lord, our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens.” If we did not have that verse where would we be? We would be in the pits! To worship is marvelous and to be so close to Him like He is right here with us holding our hands. We could feel His presence! Oh how excellent is Hi name in all the earth. I just praise God today to be able to serve Him and continue to do what He would have us to do. WE may be small but we are mighty in Him.Sunday 1/15/06... PSALMS 119:41-43 “41. Let thy mercies come also unto me, O Lord, even thy salvation, according to thy word. So shall I have wherewith to answer him that reproacheth me: for I trust in thy word. And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth; for I have hoped in thy judgments.” WE should believe in His words and keep them within us so when someone does approach us we can share them. So we can share that there is only one way. When you are able to understand the Bible more it will become a joy not only to read but also to share. It becomes joyful in your heart and it makes you want to read more of what God’s word has to say. Then the opportunity comes to share with others.Sunday 1/8/06... So much is happening I just feel that we must know that we have a Saviour in these last days. PSALMS 40:16 “Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: let such as love thy salvation say continually, The Lord be magnified.” We need to stop and think about how He protects us and brings us through the dark times. He will bring us out of the valleys up on to the top of the mountains. Let us with the love and salvation in our hearts continue to rejoice in Him. Nobody is perfect and we sometimes have those times when we wonder. But that is when we should just say thank you Lord for living me! He loves us all and we must continue to seek Him. Even though the times get rougher, He will bring us through! I have been reading the Old Testament and God has been making it so real to me. Yes, the Old Testament is hard to absorb sometimes, in can get so real it gets in you. You read of all the times the Lord has given so many chances but when they refused each chance, destruction came. Now He is giving some last chances today but will people refuse Him again? He does not let things go to far. He gives the chance and if it is not received but straightening up saying OK Lord, then he let’s them go to destruction. There is just nothing anyone but the refuser can do about it. So I just thank the Lord for loving me and bringing joy to my heart!Sunday 1/1/06... PROVERBS 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” As we continue our life in God in 2006 we will just continue to trust Him. To lean on Him and let Him fill us and to pour out what He wants us to pour out. We know He will direct our paths to wherever He wants us to go. The Lord knows, even if we don’t, the Lord knows. Sometimes it seems to be too much because it gets so overwhelming. The worship this morning was just so touching as we praised and worshiped Him! If we continue on and continue to pray He will direct us in the way He wants us to go. The Lord knows our hearts and our ways. He will keep us strong! I just thank the Lord! For each day that I wake up I just thank the Lord! I praise Him and worship Him, even in the middle of the night. So I know the Lord is good and I am just glad to be part of God. You need to know that Jesus loves you and you need to love Him back.Sunday 12/25/05... We were talking about how strong the Lord is but sometimes we are weaker and He picks us up again. It says in PSALMS 73:23 “Nevertheless I am continually with thee: thou hast holden me by my right hand.” And how true that is because all we have to do is reach out and He is right there! And just that little touch gives back that little strength that we sometimes need. He gives it back so we can continue on in His work. I was saying to Brother Johnson it is going to be a struggle in 2006. A lot of people out there are going to be lost because they won’t see it. They haven’t seen it all this year (2005) and they are not going to see it until it comes crashing in on them in 2006. I know that He is with me and He has me by the hand and you need to know it so you have the strength to continue on. PSALMS 73:24 “Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.”Sunday 12/18/05... PSALMS 4:11 “But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.” If we put our trust in Him and rejoice in Him we will find He gives us so much back. He fills us to overflowing with joy. So even as we continue to praise and worship Him, He is there with us at all times. As He loves us we need to love Him right back! The Lord will wrap His arms around us and we will know that He is there. I thank the Lord for this very, very anointed meeting!Sunday 12/11/05...PSALMS 122:1 Sunday 12/4/05...We can never thank the Lord enough! We just need to continue to praise Him and Thank Him. In PSALMS 9 and verse one it says… “I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvelous works. 2. I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High.” WE just need to continue to tell Him how much we love Him and that we feel His presence. That as we praise Him, His presence comes in and fills us up. So then we are working together as we stand for Jesus. I just think it is marvelous to even be able to praise and worship and be filled at the same time. Sunday 11/27/05...PSALMS 27:14 “Wait on the Lord, be of good courage and He shall strengthen thy heart, wait I say on the Lord.” We need to have patience and understanding of waiting on the Lord because He is the one that guides and directs. He is the one who is in charge and if we do not wait on Him, we get ahead of Him. Then if we slip and fall we need to get up remembering your not in charge, it is the Lord.Sunday 11/20/05...PSALMS 100:4 “Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.” We need to thank him for all He has done for us because He has done so much. We should remember to praise Him for all He has brought forth in our lives. It is Thanksgiving and what better time that we should do it! Thanking the Lord for all things, all things that He has blessed us with like our family and our Church family. He gives us our faith, trust and willingness that we might continue to praise and thank Him for them.Sunday 11/13/05...PSALMS 8:9 "O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!" How true that Is and we can know that the things around us are only of Him. We see the clouds and the trees and the land that is all Him. It is so excellent to see all that and envision Him in it! To feel the joy He has given us in it all. I just love to look around and see all the things He has done. Other have so many ideas of the earth and how it was formed but we know! We know because, “How excellent is His name in all the earth.” He is the one, the only one and I am just glad I can serve Him.Sunday 11/6/05... HEBREWS 11:6 “But without faith it is impossible to please him” How true! Without faith we could not praise and worship Him in a way that pleases Him. Because without fait it would mean nothing to us. “for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” We need to seek Him at all times to seek Him. How great it is that we can open His book to study His word of life to see what He is trying to tell us. We need to grab on to Him and hold on because if we do not we would be so lost, without joy and His uplifting of our hearts. Knowing we worship Him for real and not for nothing. I’m sure many people worship on Sunday to whom it means absolutely nothing. However, to those that really love God it means a whole lot! It gives them the joy, the peace, the understanding, the faith and love, all the time. They are those that really love Him!Sunday

9/4/05... Sunday 8/21/05... PSALMS 1: 1-6 “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. 3. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. 4. The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. 5. Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. 6. For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish."The ungodly are just going to be lost! Unless they turn around they are just going to be lost and they will never make it. With all the devastation that is ahead, unless they call out to God they will never make it. I just thank God that we know, that we have been taught to receive what God has for us. So that we know what to look for in times to come. We can always call on Him even when we go through things, we can call on Him and He will watch over us. The ungodly will not be able to sit amongst us in the congregation because they just cannot take it. That is why there is so many out there in this wicked, wicked world that cannot make it. They just cannot listen to what God has for them and they are going to be so lost. It is heartbreaking to know some could make it if they would only see they need God, but they just will not give in. They just turn away! They hear it once and say no that is not for me I do not want it. But when the time comes what will happen? Sunday 8/21/05... I PETER 1:7 “That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ” That is what we are looking for! We need to really keep the faith, knowing that things are coming that we will hardly believe. Even though the world around us is just withering away, we will have bright times. Because we know He is waiting for us and we will see Jesus! It is exciting because we know as long as we stand firm and fellowship together we will life up each other. As we stand we learn from each other and keep those around us from being lost. I just praise God! Sunday 8/14/05... Psalms 106:1 “ Praise ye the Lord. O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.” Psalms 107:1 “O give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.” The Lord “is” good for His mercies do endure forever! He loves us, He loves us so much! We could never give as much love to Him as He has given to us but we need to strive for it. I just thank Him that He is with us, AMEN! Sunday 7/10/05... Psalms 100:1-5 ‘Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.” It says it all! As long as we stand firm we can make a joyful noise unto the Lord. We can rejoice in Him and feel His presence knowing that the joy of the Lord is within us. We can enter His gates when the time come knowing that His love for us endures forever. December 2001...Rev Barbara Johnson A gift of Love from my heart to Jesus.... How much love do we really have? Remember to not just give a gift this year but to give a gift of love to someone special that might come to mind. In I John 4:7 it says, “Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. 8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.” So let your love flow into someone else, who might or might not know Jesus Christ as Lord. v13 Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit. He loved us so much He wanted us to share with others this special love He has given us. Be ready at all times to receive as well as to give. A lot has happened but God has it all under control. May 2001...Rev Barbara Johnson HIS FAITHFULNESS.... Sometimes we go through hard times and feel like no one cares, but God does. "Great Is Thy Faithfulness" says a well known song! It is like springtime when everything seams like it is dead. Our lives feel like that sometimes, like there is no turning back. But wait ! As spring soon becomes green and alive, so will the things in our life come alive, because we have a "Faithful" God. I know what it is like to feel that everything is gone. But we need to start praying and have faith that God will help us work out the problems. Just wait for the "Son" to shine on you again! Ecclesiastes 3:1 KJV "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven" Everyone has seasons but it is how we view the changes that is important. God knows our heart and is always faithful to us. Are we that faithful to Him? Romans 8:28 KJV "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." Are we called? Hebrews 10:23 KJV "He is faithful that promised." Do we promise to stand firm? Have you ever felt like everything is over and there is no joy in your life? Well, guess what, Philippians 3:13 tells us, “forget those things which are behind, and reach forth unto those things which are before.” There have been hurts in our lives and we cannot continue to let them drag us down. Let them go and pick up and start over. Like the potter who had to redo his pot over because it was marred, like our hearts that become marred, broken and hurt. God is our potter He can work in our inner most parts and we can be renewed in a way that we have a hard time understanding. With God’s help let us seek and find out what is going on inside of us. Let God do a work. There is so much joy in life that we need to go forward. Let God mold you and shape you into the way He would have you be. Praise God for all things! Have You ever thought of yourself as being in a valley and when you come up out of it you seem to have a “lily” that God has given you? In Son of Solomon 2:1, lily’s of the valleys, verse two: “as the lily among thorns, so is…”, His love for us. In Hebrews 13: 5,” Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” This verse speaks volumes to me concerning valleys and our Lord being there for us. Often we feel like we are down, but that down is really just a valley that we need to find our way OUT OF. We work our way up and out, by trusting and having Faith, letting God work in uas to lift us up and out so we can see the Lily. Oh, what a Joy that can be! Hosea 14:5, “ I will be as the dew unto Israel: he shall grow as the lily,” . Isn’t that great!?! We need to share our good times with others, for He cares for us. Matthew 6:28, “Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:” ---------------------------------------------------------------
