Priest home an alleged 'erotic dungeon'

A court has ordered the arrest of a Polish priest suspected of sexually abusing a teenager in a Rio de Janeiro suburb and turning his parish home into what the judge described as an "erotic dungeon" for sex with adolescents, authorities said. State prosecutors have accused Marcin Michael Strachanowski, 44, of handcuffing the 16-year-old former altar boy to a bed three years ago in the parish house where the priest lived and threatening to kill the youth if he spoke of the abuse. "I already know the flowers I will place on your coffin," Strachanowski warned, according to prosecutors. The Polish priest was suspended from his duties after the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Rio de Janeiro learned of the order for his arrest, church spokesman Adionel Carlos da Cunha said in a statement issued. The judge issued the order.

U.S. churches should perform only religious marriages as a way of healing the rift over same-sex marriages, the first openly gay Episcopal bishop said. The Rev. Eugene Robinson, the bishop of New Hampshire, speaking at a Los Angeles CA. church, said the church should leave behind the longstanding practice of performing civil marriages.

"The church is infringing on the secular society and trying to enforce its beliefs onto the entire culture."

Episcopal Priest Claims 'Being Gay is Gift from God'

The Rev. Canon J. Edwin Bacon Jr. from Southern California has made it no secret that he supports gays and lesbians and same-sex marriage.

But his recent pro-gay comments on the Oprah Winfrey show have stunned even the popular talk show host herself.

"Being gay is a gift from God," Bacon declared in an episode that aired Jan. 7. Appearing shocked, Winfrey responded, "Well, you are the first minister I’ve ever heard say, 'Being gay is a gift from God,' I can tell you that."

Bacon's controversial statement sparked a fiery debate on Winfrey's website, leading the talk show host to invite the Episcopal priest back to elaborate on what he meant.

"I meant exactly what I said," Bacon, rector of All Saints Episcopal Church in Pasadena, told Winfrey via video a few days later.

"It is so important for every human being to understand that he or she is a gift from God, and particularly people who are marginalized and victimized in our culture.

Gay and lesbian people are clearly outcasts in many areas of our life and it's so important for them to understand that when God made them, God said you are good.

That is a gift, that is a blessing, that is the original blessing with which every one of us is made by God and loved by God." One commenter on Oprah's message board responded: "I was appalled by the pastor's remark ... how many people did this man of the cloth lead down the wrong road with his comment?"

The Episcopal priest has repeatedly proclaimed a message of inclusiveness. In a controversial move last year, Bacon opened his church to perform marriage ceremonies for same-sex couples a week after the California Supreme Court had legalized homosexual marriage in May.

'Mr. Gay UK' accused of cooking man, eating flesh

After homosexual activity, man allegedly carves, chews lover's body

The man who won the first Mr. Gay UK award is now on trial for reportedly killing a man and cooking, even chewing, parts of his body flesh.

Anthony Morley, who worked as a chef, was arrested last April for the murder of his friend Damian Oldsfield, whose flesh was recovered by the police from Morley's kitchen.

The Leeds Crown Court heard that the two men arranged to meet at Morley's house in the evening of April 23. Morley cooked a meal they both ate and retired to the bedroom.

Police said sexual activity ensued, following which Morley allegedly killed his friend. He then carved his flesh.

The court said that pieces of cooked human flesh, identified as being from Oldfield, were found on a chopping board, while another piece, which appeared to have been chewed, was found in a bin bag.

Prosecutor Andrew Stubbs, said: "Six pieces of cooked flesh, which had been seasoned with fresh herbs and fried in olive oil were recovered."

Gay-only retirement village to be built for £12.7 million in Australia

Australia is to get its first gay-only retirement village.

Linton Estate in Ballan, an hour's drive from Melbourne, is billed as a haven for ageing homosexual men, lesbians and the transgendered.

Moorabool Shire council approved plans for the project last week, despite four objections from local residents.

Construction of the £12.7 (AU$26 million), development will begin early next year

The estate will feature 120 two and three-bedroom apartments, a tennis court, bowling green, open-air theatre and a multi-million dollar leisure center with a pool, spa, gymnasium, cafe, restaurant, piano room and business center.

All the HIV infections have one thing in common- they are a direct result of behavior.

The CDC estimates there are 50,000 new cases of HIV infection reported each year.

Currently 1.1 million people in the United States are believed to be infected with HIV.

In 2006, 59% of new HIV infections were caused solely by male-to-male sexual contact, and 7 % by both male-to-male contact and drug use.

That means that homosexual men, who comprise approximately 2% of the population, accounted for 66% of new HIV cases 2 years ago.

Of the remaining HIV cases, 17% were transmitted by high-risk heterosexual contact and 16% solely by drug use.

Matt Foreman, executive director of the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, said in their national conference in February

"Folks, with 70 percent of the people in this country living with HIV being gay or bisexual, we cannot deny that HIV is a gay disease. We have to own that and face up to that."

WIFE OF NORTHERN IRELAND'S FIRST MINISTER ACCUSED OF HATE CRIME

Iris Robinson, considered Northern Ireland's first lady as the wife of First Minister Peter Robinson, has been accused of 'hate crimes' and is facing both a police investigation and the possibility of a civil complaint, according to reports.

A report in An Phoblacht, an online political weekly in Ireland, said Robinson had been invited onto the BBC Radio Ulster's 'The Stephen Nolan Show' to talk about a recent physical assault on a

homosexual by a team of thugs described by the reporter as 'gay-bashing.'

She condemned the violence, then described homosexuality as 'disgusting, nauseous, shamefully wicked and vile.'

Now, the report said, a government agency has confirmed it is investigating complaints that have been filed against her, and one homosexual activist said he's contacted a lawyer about the situation.

The reports said complaints against Robinson have been lodged by Andrew Muir, vice-chair of the Gay and Lesbian Across Down, as well as John O'Doherty, a member of the South Belfast District Policing Partnership.

On the radio program, Robinson said, 'Homosexuality is not natural. My Christian beliefs tell me that it is an abomination and that is very clear. It is an offense to God, and offensive act and something God abhors.'

She went on to urge homosexuals to seek psychiatric counseling, because of the success of

various programs that offer to help them re-focus their sexual lifestyles.

I have met people who have turned around and become heterosexual.

They are married and having families.'

The report said she was describing one of her health policy advisers, Paul Miller.

Gay sex parties, promiscuity spreads HIV/AIDS in Hong Kong says doctor

Gay men in Hong Kong are accelerating the spread of HIV by having sex with men they meet over the internet or going to sex parties, a government doctor warned Tuesday.

Studies by the city's Department of Health discovered clusters of cases in which a single source was found to have led to up to 58 HIV infections.

Investigations indicated the clusters were being caused by increasingly promiscuous behavior among gay men as safe sex practices are forgotten or abandoned

Greece's first gay weddings: Cursed' gay couples tie the knot

Greece's first gay weddings have been held after two couples, abetted by a sympathetic local mayor, defied the threat of criminal charges and the wrath of the Orthodox church to tie the knot on a tiny Aegean island.

One gay and one lesbian couple took advantage of the failure of Greek civil law to specify gender in matrimony to wed at the municipal offices of the southeast Aegean island of Tilos.

A Greek Orthodox priest described their homosexuality as a curse and the mayor of a neighbouring island said the sight of same-sex couples would upset "good families" on their holidays.

The weddings in Greece drew immediate fire from the Orthodox church, which strongly opposes homosexuality.

"Homosexuality is a curse, a deadly sin, it goes against psychological and biological normality," Father Stylianos Karpathiou told state NET TV.

Cancer risk soars in HIV-infected people -US study

People with HIV have a much higher risk for many cancers, including anal cancer, but a lower risk for prostate cancer, researchers said on Tuesday.

Some types of cancers like Kaposi's sarcoma and non-Hodgkin lymphoma have long been associated with people infected by the AIDS virus.

The study focused on trends from 1992 to 2003, finding that these two types of cancer became relatively less common among HIV-infected people in the United States. But other cancers are on the rise among these patients, who are living longer thanks to anti-HIV drugs.

Anal cancer by 2003 had become 59 times more common among HIV-infected people than the general population, according to the study in the Annals of Internal Medicine.

Hodgkin's disease was 18 times more common in this population, the study also found. In addition, liver cancer was seven times more common, lung cancer 3.6 times more common, the skin cancer melanoma and throat cancer both three times more common, and colorectal cancer 2.4 times more common.

The study involved 54,780 men and women infected with the human immunodeficiency virus, which causes AIDS.

One high profile member of Soulforce is Jay Bakker, son of Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker of PTL infamy.

Before her death in 2007 Tammy Faye became an activist for homosexual rights.

Soulforce is pressuring churches to welcome homosexuals in a non-judgmental way.

Syphilis making a world-wide comeback

SYPHILIS is making a comeback in developed countries, spurred by illicit drug use and high-risk sexual behaviors, and many doctors are unprepared to recognize and treat it, US researchers said.

They said syphilis has been on the rise since the beginning of the 21st century in high-income countries, but because the disease had been well controlled in the 1990s, doctors may not be screening for it.

"The key message here is that syphilis is again on the rise in several developing countries.

***In many of these countries we are seeing very high rates in ***men who have sex with men," said Kevin Fenton of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, whose study appears in the journal Lancet.

US syphilis rate up for 7th year in row, CDC says

The U.S. syphilis rate rose for the seventh straight year in 2007, driven by a continued surge in cases among homosexual and bisexual men, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said.

Since 2000, when the national syphilis rate sank to a low of 2.1 per 100,000 people after a decade of progress in the 1990s, the rate has soared by 76 percent, the CDC reported.

Homosex and bisex men accounted for 64 percent of syphilis cases in 2007, up from about 5 percent in 1999.

HIV/AIDS infections on the rise in Sweden: officials

The number of new HIV infections jumped 20 percent in Sweden last year, health officials said Tuesday, quoting preliminary figures that could signal altered attitudes towards the disease that causes AIDS.

In 2007, around 500 new HIV infections were reported in Sweden, up from some 390 new cases reported a year earlier, according to preliminary numbers published by the Swedish Institute for Infectious Disease Control (SMI).

"We have especially seen an increase in the number of new infections among men who have sex with men and needle-users," SMI statistician Malin Arneborn said, adding that Sweden was thus following a trend already seen in other European countries.

UK to pay surrogates £15,000 to have babies for gays

Surrogate mothers could be given up to £15,000 of Health Service money to have children for gay couples, it emerged yesterday.

An NHS trust is considering funding the service for infertile couples - whether they are heterosexual or of the same-sex.

Christian Photographer Hauled before Human Rights Commission for Refusing Same-Sex Job

The case of a Christian photographer who refused to photograph a same-sex "commitment ceremony", was heard before the New Mexico Human Rights Division on Monday.

A same-sex couple asked Elaine Huguenin, co-owner with her husband of Elane Photography, to photograph a "commitment ceremony" that the two women wanted to hold.

Huguenin declined because her Christian beliefs are in conflict with the message communicated by the ceremony.

The same-sex couple filed a complaint with the New Mexico Human Rights Division, which is now trying Elane Photography under state anti-discrimination laws for sexual orientation discrimination

Lesbian's law suit against Christian school tossed

'No triable issues': Academy's right to expel 2 girls in 'relationship' confirmed

A California judge has ruled that Christian schools can set standards for behavior for their students, and impose penalties if they are not met.

The decision comes from Riverside County Superior Court Judge Gloria Trask, who found "no triable issues" on claims that a Christian school discriminated against two girls because of their perceived sexual orientation, according to a report in the North County Times.

Trask recently dismissed the claims made against California Lutheran High School in Wildomar by the two girls and their parents.

The case developed in 2005 when the girls, members of the junior class, were expelled after school officials noticed behavior by the two that may have indicated a lesbian relationship.

Tales of student prostitutes shock France

France's education minister has vowed to improve student financial support after a series of accounts by undergraduates working as prostitutes.

A memoir by a 19-year-old language student and a book of interviews with undergraduate sex workers has shocked France, lifting the lid on a practice which appears to be increasingly common.

A new study showed a large online market for student prostitutes, describing how male

clients, who are often rich, married executives, advertise online for young, undergraduate "escorts" whom they prefer to street prostitutes.

These clients pay on average €400 (£300) for a two hour meeting with a student, including sex and "time to talk".

One student union estimated that 40,000 students are working as prostitutes.

Prof teaches 'being gay' with taxpayer funding

'Being homosexual doesn't mean you don't learn how to become one'

A University of Michigan class that earlier prompted state lawmakers to consider a 10 percent budget penalty for the school and is taught by a homosexual professor openly endorsing the "uncompromising political militancy" of "lesbian and gay studies" is returning.

But so is the opposition.

The class at the tax-funded University of Michigan in Ann Arbor is called "How to be Gay: Male Homosexuality and Initiation," and is taught by David Halperin.

It surfaced in 2000, returned the following year and again a couple years later. Now university officials have confirmed it is returning, and Gary Glenn, president of the American Family Association of Michigan, said "it was and remains an outrageous abuse of taxpayer dollars."

"Each time it has been offered we have renewed our objections to it. The first time around the Michigan House of Representatives came with a few votes of cutting the university budget by 10 percent," he said.

He said Halperin "makes no bones about it on the other side of the world, knowingly using tax dollars to promote the militant political agenda of homosexuality."

Glenn was referring to Halperin's writings on his activities as part of his work in Australia, where he spends part of each year.

There, Halperin has written, "The fact is that lesbian and gay studies simply is the academic wing of the lesbian, bisexual, gay, and transgender movement … no one in the field has ever (to my knowledge at least) contested this…"

"Let there be no mistake about it: lesbian and gay studies, as it is currently practiced in the U.S., expresses an uncompromising political militancy," he wrote.

"We have lobbied universities and professional associations to adopt and enforce anti-discrimination policies, to recognise same-sex couples, to oppose the U.S. military's anti-gay policy, to suspend professional activities in states that criminalize gay sex or limit access to abortion, and to intervene on behalf of human rights for lesbians, bisexuals, and gay men at the local and national levels," he wrote in Australian Humanities Review.

"Just because you happen to be a gay man doesn't mean that you don't have to learn how to become one," he writes in the University of Michigan course description. "Gay men do some of that learning on their own, but often we learn how to be gay from others, either because we look to them for instruction or because they simply tell us what they think we need to know, whether we ask for their advice or not."

Further, he advises potential students, "the course itself will constitute an experiment in the very process of initiation that it hopes to understand."

University officials posted a defense of the decision to allow the course on the university website, a tacit acknowledgment of its controversial nature.

"This course is not about encouraging people to become gay, but about how individuals in our society create meaning and beliefs about gay culture from literature and the arts," explained Robert M. Owen, associate dean for undergraduate education. "The course also makes no assumptions about the sexual orientation of its students."

"We are aware that much of the concern is with the title of the course and acknowledge that the interpretation of that title is very troubling for some people. The English Department … approved this course," he said.

Provost Paul Courant boasted of the evolution of the school into one "of the finest public institutions of higher education in the world" and attributed that to "the free and open exchange of ideas."

He said Halperin's course "is similar to literature courses taught at many other universities in our state and across our country."

Concerns over Halperin's actions were raised even within the homosexual community. In an online forum for homosexuals, one wrote, "Having a course in initiating young people into the gay lifestyle? Isn't that what Christian Fundementalists (sic) claim actually goes on in the gay community? Thank you Dr. Halperin for confirming their suspicions."

Denmark Expands Gay Adoption Rights

New legislation that shortly will pass the Danish legislature will allow gay couples equal rights in being able to adopt children from other nations.

Homosexuals who are registered as being a legal partnership already are allowed to adopt Danish children.

Recent legislation now enables lesbians equal rights when it comes to issues of artificial insemination.

There had been strong opposition to changes in adoption of foreign children due to fear it might lead these countries to take Denmark off the approved adoption list.

However, Sweden passed similar laws in 2003 that empowered gays to adopt foreign children and it has not led to any changes in children being adopted.

Activist 'banned for life' from criticizing homosexuality

A lifetime ban on public criticism of homosexuality was upheld against a Catholic activist in Canada by his province's superior court.

Bill Whatcott was fined 17,500 Canadian dollars by the Saskatchewan Human Rights Commission in a complaint by four homosexuals who charged he "injured" their "feelings" and "self respect" in pamphlets denouncing the "gay lifestyle" as immoral and dangerous, it was reported.

Saskatchewan's Court of Queens Bench, which hears criminal and civil cases, upheld a 2006 decision Tuesday by the provincial Human Rights Commission.

"This fine is for telling the truth that homosexual sodomites can change their behavior and be set free from their sin and depravity through the forgiveness of sins and shed blood of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ," Whatcott said.

A licensed practical nurse, Whatcott regularly campaigns against the political movement that is rapidly advancing homosexual rights in the Canadian legal system.

"Shame on the Saskatchewan Court of Queens Bench for pandering to homosexual activism and ignoring the truth," he said.

The provincial Human Rights Commission noted Whatcott was "ordered to discontinue distributing any materials that promote hatred against people because of their sexual orientation."

The tribunal held that "preventing the distribution of such materials was a reasonable limit on Whatcott's right to freedom of religion and expression as guaranteed by Section 2 of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms."

It was noted Ottawa Citizen columnist David Warren criticized the tribunals as "kangaroo courts" and "star chambers" with "quasi-legal powers that should be offensive to the citizens of any free country ... in which the defendant's right to due process is withdrawn."

A petition to Prime Minister Stephen Harper is being circulated calling for abolishment, or at least curtailment, of the powers of the commissions.

Christian Bookstores Refuse to Sell Gay Study Bible

Conservative Christian bookstores are refusing to sell copies of a new Bible study guide that challenges standard New Testament translations that teach gay sex is sin.

U.S. distributor God’s Word to Women has banned the Australian publication and withdrawn another Bible translation by the same publishing company, Smith and Stirling, for promoting a lifestyle contradictory to scriptures, according to the Australian newspaper The Age.

Moreover, Australia’s largest Christian retailer, Koorong, said it is unlikely to carry Ann Nyland’s Study New Testament for Gay, Lesbian, Bi, and Transgender if the version proves controversial.

In the study guide, Nyland contends that the word “arsenokoites” has been wrongly interpreted to mean homosexual.

According to the classical Greek lexicographer, the word’s meaning is one who anally penetrates another and does not exclusively apply to males, according to The Age.

She further claims that most New Testament translations are based on a lack of understanding of Greek word meaning, context, and disregard for academic research.

Because of Nyland’s authorship of the gay study Bible, two American scholars have withdrawn their endorsements from her other works.

Schwarzenegger signs law outlawing terms perceived as negative to 'gays'

"Mom and Dad" as well as "husband and wife" have been banned from California schools under a bill signed by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, who with his signature also ordered public schools to allow boys to use girls restrooms and locker rooms, and vice versa, if they choose.

"We are shocked and appalled that the governor has blatantly attacked traditional family values in California," said Karen England, executive director of Capitol Resource Institute.

"With this decision, Gov. Schwarzenegger has told parents that their values are irrelevant. Many parents will have no choice but to pull their children out of the public schools that have now become sexualized indoctrination centers."

"Arnold Schwarzenegger has delivered young children into the hands of those who will introduce them to alternative sexual lifestyles," said Randy Thomasson, president of Campaign for Children and Families, which worked to defeat the plans. "This means children as young as five years old will be mentally molested in school classrooms.

"Shame on Schwarzenegger and the Democrat politicians for ensuring that every California school becomes a homosexual-bisexual-transsexual indoctrination center," he said.

Analysts have warned that schools across the nation will be impacted by the decision, since textbook publishers must cater to their largest purchaser, which often is California, and they will be unlikely to go to the expense of having a separate edition for other states.

The bills signed by Schwarzenegger include SB777, which bans anything in public schools that could be interpreted as negative toward homosexuality, bisexuality and other alternative lifestyle choices.

There are no similar protections for students with traditional or conservative lifestyles and beliefs, however.

"SB 777 will result in reverse discrimination against students with religious and traditional family values," said Meredith Turney, legislative liaison for Capitol Resource Institute. "These students have lost their voice as the direct result of Gov. Schwarzenegger's unbelievable decision. The terms 'mom and dad' or 'husband and wife' could promote discrimination against homosexuals if a same-sex couple is not also featured.

"Parents want the assurance that when their children go to school they will learn the fundamentals of reading, writing and arithmetic – not social indoctrination regarding alternative sexual lifestyles. Now that SB777 is law, schools will in fact become indoctrination centers for sexual experimentation," she said.

Also signed was AB394, which targets parents and teachers for such indoctrination through "anti-harassment" training, CCF said.

Schwarzenegger had vetoed almost identical provisions a year ago, saying existing state law already provided for penalties for discrimination.

"We had hoped that the governor would once again veto this outrageous legislation but he obviously decided to side with the out-of-touch extremists that control the legislature. This law does not reflect the true values of the average Californian," said England. "True leadership means standing up for what is true and right."

Thomasson said SB777 prohibits any "instruction" or school-sponsored "activity" that "promotes a discriminatory bias" against "gender" – the bill's definition includes cross-dressing and sex changes – as well as "sexual orientation."

"Because no textbook or instruction in California public schools currently disparages transsexuality, bisexuality, or homosexuality, the practical effect of SB777 will be to require positive portrayals of these sexual lifestyles at every government-operated school," CCF noted.

Offenders will face the wrath of the state Department of Education, up to and including lawsuits.

CCF noted that now on a banned list will be any text, reference or teaching aid that portrays marriage as only between a man and woman, materials that say people are born male or female (and not in between), sources that fail to include a variety of transsexual, bisexual and homosexual historical figures, and sex education materials that fail to offer the option of sex changes.

Further, homecoming kings now can be either male or female – as can homecoming queens, and students, whether male or female, must be allowed to use the restroom and locker room corresponding to the sex with which they choose to identify.

AB394 promotes the same issues through state-funded publications, postings, curricula and handouts to students, parents and teachers.

It also creates the circumstances where a parent who says marriage is only for a man and a woman in the presence of a lesbian teacher could be convicted of "harassment," and a student who believes people are born either male or female could be reported as a "harasser" by a male teacher who wears women's clothes, CCF said.

Thomasson said Schwarzenegger also signed AB14, which prohibits state funding for any program that does not support a range of alternative sexual practices, including state-funded social services run by churches.

Affected will be day cares, preschool or after-school programs, food and housing programs, senior services, anti-gang efforts, jobs programs and others.

Thomasson said it also forces every hospital in California – even private, religious hospitals – to adopt policies in support of transsexuality, bisexuality, and homosexuality and opens up nonprofit organizations to lawsuits if they exclude members that engage in homosexual, bisexual, or transsexual conduct.

"It's the height of intolerance to punish individuals, organizations, businesses, and churches that have moral standards on sexual conduct and sexual lifestyles," said Thomasson, in response to the signing of AB14. "This is another insensitive law that violates people's moral boundaries."

The vitriol over the issue rose to new levels in its latest campaign.

As mreported, a board member for the homosexual advocacy group Equality California verbally attacked and threatened CRI for its opposition to the bill earlier.

The board member sent an e-mail and video to CRI threatening the group would be buried if it continued efforts opposing the homosexual advocacy.

"The shocking hate mail we received shows that those behind this legislation do not promote true tolerance," said England. "Only politically correct speech will be tolerated. Those with religious or traditional moral beliefs will not be allowed to express their opinions in public schools."

She also cited an informational document published by the Gay-Straight Alliance Network and the Transgender Law Center that already is lobbying for special treatment in the school system.

"If you want to use a restroom that matches your gender identity … you should be allowed to do so," it advises. "Whenever students are divided up into boys and girls, you should be allowed to join the group or participate in the program that matches your gender identity as much as possible."

Further, the groups advise, "If you change your name to one that better matches your gender identity, a school needs to use that name to refer to you." The advocacy group also warns schools against bringing parents into any such discussion with students.

It was documented in a number of earlier cases in which educators, including leaders in California, have taken it upon themselves to promote a homosexual lifestyle to children under their charge.

It was reported California Superintendent of Public Instruction Jack O'Connell, under whose supervision hundreds of thousands of children are being educated, has used his state position and taxpayer-funded stationery to praise a "gay" pride event used in the past to expose children to sexually explicit activities.

That drew vehement objections from several educators, including Priscilla Schreiber, the president of the Grossmont Unified High School District governing board.

"I am outraged that a person in this high-ranking elected position would advocate an event where diversity is not just being celebrated but where pornography and indecent exposure is being perpetrated on the young and innocent children of our communities," she said.

Folks in leather, chaps and thongs throng Folsom Street Gay Fair

It's not usually polite to stare, but Phil "Tats" Payton doesn't mind being ogled. When you're a 69-year-old man covered in more than 100 tattoos - including all over your bald head - and sporting a leather vest, chaps and a nose ring a few inches in diameter, it comes with the territory.

"I've gotten used to it," he said as he was stopped by strangers asking to take his photograph. "It's my own fault - I can't blame anyone else."

Payton and others bedecked in leather - or in many cases, nothing at all - were the stars of Sunday's 24th annual Folsom Street Fair. The San Francisco rite is a celebration of leather culture and sexual fetishism, and draws not only those who enjoy the lifestyle, but also those who enjoy gawking at them.

"This is like Disneyland - you'll never see anything like this in the world," said Jaeleen Bennis, who in her long skirt and tank top could just as easily have been shopping at Bloomingdale's.

Folsom Street, once a gay hub with bathhouses and sex clubs, is now filled with restaurants, condos and furniture stores. But on the last Sunday of September, it shuts down between Seventh and 12th streets as thousands of people pack the festival, which raises money for charity.

This year was no different, as couples led each other up and down the street with dog collars and leashes, men in thong underwear played Twister, women in stilettos and fishnet stockings spilled out of their corsets, and shoppers browsed stalls selling products such as baseball caps reading "Master" or "Slave" and a book entitled "Dungeon Emergencies and Supplies."

"Very painful - very nice," said a woman as she fingered a "Stingy little pocket paddle" that came in red or black.

In the next stall over, Rodger Rosenberg explained why it's much more enjoyable to be tied up with rope made of 100 percent silk than rope made of nylon or hemp. By noon, he already had sold silk ropes to people from England, Ireland and Spain.

Tom Maiolo came all the way from Tampa, Fla., for his first Folsom Street Fair. Wearing a leather vest and chaps with no pants, he said at noon that he was already having a fabulous time.

"So far, so good," he said. "I love this, and I'm just getting started."

He said he recognized some stars of porn movies he had seen and said they were like celebrities to him. Asked if they would ever hold an event like this in Tampa, he said, "No. Hardly."

People paid money to be flogged in front of crowds of onlookers. One man looked like he was crying, and red lash marks covered his back.

"Lovely start to a Sunday afternoon!" exclaimed a man with a microphone trying to persuade people to get flogged.

Two women who said their screen names are Zoe Zane and Andrea Storm dressed as dirty martinis in teeny silver dresses shaped like martini glasses and bra cups decorated like green olives.

"It's totally fun," Storm said. "I don't get very far because I keep getting photographed. I feel like I'm on the red carpet."

Not everybody was into the scene, though. Jason Reed stood in boots and a thong and posed for pictures outside a stall run by SX Video, which makes gay porn movies.

"I'm just here to work - it's not really my thing," said Reed, who works in the company's marketing department. "They think I look good, so they want me to walk around in a jockstrap."

He got a good view of all the passers-by - sometimes, too good a view.

"Some of them who walk around naked really shouldn't be," he said.

Inside the stall was a wall of dildos and leather hoods. Bob Findle, the company's creative director, said it's fun to see people come from all over the world for a true San Francisco event.

Christians launch boycott of beer giant as company still sponsoring fetish fair

A Catholic group is calling for a boycott of the Miller Brewing Co. after the beer giant failed to have its logo removed from a "gay"-festival promo mocking the iconic Last Supper scene of Jesus Christ and his disciples.

Bill Donohue, president of the Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights, wants Miller to go much further and rescind its sponsorship of San Francisco's Folsom Street Fair, which has featured blatant displays of public nudity and performances by the anti-Catholic group Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence.

"Never have we experienced greater corporate arrogance than in this dispute with the Miller Brewing Company," Donohue said on TV.

Calling it an "incredibly outrageous and palpably anti-Christian event," Donohue posted photographs of past Folsom Street Fairs, warning that the images are graphic.

This year's fair WAS HELD Sunday.

Donohue said Miller "leaves us with no options."

"We are calling on more than 200 Catholic, Protestant, Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist and Hindu organizations to join with us in a nationwide boycott of Miller beer," he said.

"We understand some individuals may find the imagery offensive and we have asked the organizers to remove our logo from the poster effective immediately," the company said.

But Donohue pointed out, "Not only has it not done so – it is still posted on the website of the street fair – Miller refuses to withdraw its sponsorship."

"To top it off, when we informed them that some of the money being raised at this festival was being funneled to the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, they were unimpressed," he said.

The homosexual group, which describes itself as "21st century nuns for the queer," plans a "Last Supper" for the San Francisco fair:

"There is no better way to prepare your mortal flesh for the kinkiest weekend on Earth than to nourish your bones and boost your spirit with a divine feast: The Last Supper With The Sisters, at Eureka Restaurant ... "

The annual homosexual event describes its mission as organizing "world-class volunteer driven leather events, providing the adult alternative lifestyle community safe venues for self-expression, emphasizing freedom, fun and frolic, while raising money to benefit San Francisco charities."

Concerned Women for America first drew attention to the Last Supper poster Tuesday.

The group wants California's elected officials – including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sens. Dianne Feinstein and Barbara Boxer – to "publicly condemn this unprovoked attack against Christ and His followers."

"We further challenge the media to cover this affront to Christianity with the same vigor as recent stories about cartoon depictions of Muhammad and other items offensive to the Muslim community," said Matt Barber, CWFA's policy director for cultural issues.

Barber pointed out San Francisco taxpayers help foot the bill for the fair by providing police support – to shut down several city blocks and provide security.

A police lieutenant confirmed officers are on the clock during the event, not paid for by the organizers.

The Folsom Street Fair website also lists San Francisco's environment department and its Grants for the Arts –which comes out of the hotel tax fund – as sponsors.

"The most unimaginable and vile acts of debauchery are commonplace during the fair," Barber said.

"Senator Larry Craig was arrested and driven out of the Senate for allegedly soliciting public 'gay' sex, yet during this event the city of San Francisco suspends the law and allows 'gay' men and women to parade the streets fully nude, many having sex – even group orgies – in broad daylight, while taxpayer-funded police officers look on and do absolutely nothing."

Barber encouraged mainstream media to cover the event with cameras in hand.

"There's an unbelievable news story here," he said. "The Folsom Street Fair is reminiscent of biblical Sodom and Gomorrah, and the media should document exactly what the city of San Francisco is allowing to occur – in public – in the name of 'tolerance.'"

A taxpayer-supported "gay" celebration in San Francisco, featuring a poster portraying Jesus Christ and his disciples as "half-naked homosexual sadomasochists," has come under heavy fire from major Christian groups demanding that California lawmakers condemn it.

The poster by organizers of the Folsom Street Fair, sponsored in part by Miller Brewing, replaces the bread and wine representing Christ's blood and body with sadomasochistic sex toys.

"A picture's worth a thousand words," said Matt Barber, policy director for cultural issues with Concerned Women for America.

President Bill Donohue urged Miller to pull its sponsorship of the event.

Donohue says his group is targeting Miller because it's the only national household sponsor.

"Furthermore, Miller has a record of acceding to requests from various segments of the population that have objected to certain ads: it has bowed to the wishes of Muslims, African-American clergy, lawyers and feminists by pulling ads deemed offensive," he said.

"Surely it will do the same in this instance: the ad, like the event, is morally depraved. Indeed, it is the kind of ad that only the enemies of Christians would entertain."

Donohue said, "We have contacted Miller Brewing and expect that they will cooperate and do what is ethically right."

Miss X, as she must be known, had placed her eight-year-old twin boys into foster care in 2004 after finding herself unable to cope with life as a single parent of four boisterous youngsters.

That they had been placed with a gay couple, Craig Faunch and Ian Wathey — the first homosexual couple in Yorkshire to be approved by the authorities as foster parents — was, she told friends, incidental: she was just happy that someone was taking good care of them.

That sentiment changed, however, when she was shown a compromising naked photograph of her son while they were on one of their regular visits home.

The photo — featuring her son urinating — was unsettling enough for Miss X to complain to the social services department of her local council in Wakefield, Yorkshire.

Eighteen months later, in June last year, both Faunch and Wathey were jailed for a total of 11 years after being convicted of a dozen offences relating to four of the boys in their care.

The pair had looked after 18 children in only 15 months after being approved by the council, but under the guise of caring men offering a helping hand to disadvantaged youngsters, had sexually abused vulnerable children for their own gratification.

Neither man, Leeds Crown Court was told last year, had shown any empathy or remorse.

Both are now serving prison sentences for their despicable crimes.

More schools offer gay studies classes

Before he transferred to San Francisco State University, Emo Loredo knew only a few other openly gay students.

So he was pleasantly surprised when he discovered his new college offered not only dozens of classes on gay issues, but an undergraduate minor in lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender studies.

"One of the things I've learned is that homosexuality was around way back in ancient times," said Loredo, 24, who enrolled this semester in a sociology class called Queer Cultures and Society. "Before, I thought homosexuality was started in the early 1970s."

Years after creating a smattering of gay-related classes, more than two dozen American universities are now offering full-fledged minors in gay studies and expanding the field to include disciplines across the college curriculum.

Issues such as same-sex marriage and gays in the military have fueled interest in the programs, which have been established, among other places, at Ivy League institutions Yale and Cornell and DePaul University in Chicago, one of the nation's largest Catholic schools.

At least 30 public and private colleges now offer multidiscipline minors in gay studies, the majority of them started in the last three years. Another 16 schools let undergraduates earn certificates or pursue concentrated studies in gay topics.

San Francisco State was one of the first U.S. schools to explore the scholarly potential of gay subject matter, starting with a single English course in 1972. Now students can choose from classes such as Homophobia and Coming Out, Gay Love in Literature, and Queer Art History.

At colleges around the nation, expanded course offerings have also given a discipline once limited to history, English or women's studies departments a place across the academic curriculum, encompassing subjects such as religion and the law.

John G. Younger, a University of Kansas professor who maintains a Web site devoted to gay studies, said Duke University even offered an anthropology course on "queerness in advertising."

The rise of specialized degree programs has been driven by endowments from gay alumni, the research of openly gay professors, and demands from students who are coming out of the closet at younger ages, experts say.

Steven Seidman, a sociologist at the State University of New York at Albany, said he has also observed a shift in the kind of students who take gay studies classes.

In the past, the courses drew primarily straight women and a handful of gay or lesbian students, almost all of them white. Now the classes attract young scholars of varying races who often refuse to accept traditional labels of sexual orientation and gender, according to Seidman.

There is no giggling, no debate about whether homosexuality is normal and no discussion of whether gays should have rights, he said.

At San Francisco State, sociology professor Jennifer Reck said she had 55 students vying to get into the same class that Loredo took. She had to turn at least 10 away.

On the first day, she asked students to share why they enrolled, even if it was only to fulfill a social science requirement or because the time fit their schedules. Three acknowledged falling into that category.

The responses varied among the rest.

Tony Foster, 41, said he was looking for material for his master's thesis on graphic design and civil disobedience. Patricia Chiquet, 23, an international student from Switzerland, said she was fascinated by the subject of sex-change surgery.

Carla Haggard, 24, who moved from the Bible Belt five years ago and became the nanny for the child of a lesbian couple, said she wanted to help fight discrimination against same-sex couples and educate her own relatives.

Gilbert Herdt, who directs San Francisco State's program, envisions a time when gay studies is no longer a distinct academic discipline.

To some extent, that's already happening, he said. Many schools, rather than offering a degree in gay studies, have added gay-related courses under an umbrella of new programs looking broadly at human sexuality. In some cases, heterosexuality is being debated as a construct that is as much social as biological.

Younger, who travels the country advising professors on how to gain approval for gay studies programs, said he stopped counting the number of schools that offer classes in lesbian literature or gay history.

"I began thinking maybe it's useless to keep this list because every university probably has something," he said.

California Senate OKs 'gay' marriage

Vote substitutes 'two persons' for 'man and wife' in state law

The California Senate has approved a plan to replace "man and woman" in state references to marriage with "two persons," establishing a same-sex marriage procedure in the state that just seven years ago voted to limit marriage to one man and one woman.

The 22-15 vote came on homosexual Assemblyman Mark Leno's proposal to open marriage to any pair in the state, not just those couples made up of a man and a woman. All Republicans opposed AB43, while all but three Democratic senators supported it.

The bill now goes to Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger for his signature or veto. He has given ambiguous signals about his support for the latest proposal, but earlier vetoed a similar proposal.

However, in Schwarzenegger's answers to questions from the state Supreme Court he suggested the "use of the words 'marry' and 'marriage' is not required by the California Constitution. Thus, the name of the legal relationship now known as 'marriage' could be changed."

Schwarzenegger has expressed the opinion that legally, the term "marriage" can be terminated, because registered "domestic partners" already have all of the same legal rights, benefits, duties and obligations as married couples.

The governor continued, "Except for the ability to choose and declare one's life partner in a reciprocal commitment of mutual support, any of the statutory rights and obligations that are afforded to married couples in California could be abrogated or eliminated by the Legislature or the electorate for any rational legislative purpose."

That court solicited comments from Schwarzenegger because it is considering a case that challenges the state's 2000 Proposition 22 vote in which voters expressed the desire to limit marriage to a man and a woman.

The answers contained in Attorney General Jerry Brown's brief were nearly a duplicate of Schwarzenegger's.

"The State is not aware of any differences between the legal rights and benefits and the legal obligations and duties affecting registered domestic partners under California law and the rights, benefits, duties and obligations given to married couples," his response said.

Further, Brown wrote that the state constitution "does not contain a specifically enumerated right to marry," although cases have implied that.

"The State submits that the words 'marry' and 'marriage' have no essential constitutional significance," he said. "Thus the Legislature could change the name of the legal relationship now known as 'marriage' to some other name without any constitutional impediment," Brown said.

Marriage supporters are vowing to fight back.

"Marriage between a man and a woman will continue to be targeted for destruction by politicians and judges unless we fully and permanently protect this sacred institution in the California State Constitution," said former Assemblyman Larry Bowler, a proponent of the VoteYesMarriage.com petition drive.

"Until the people fund, qualify and pass the VoteYesMarriage,com amendment, marriage will be threatened with destruction and eventual extinction. Even Gov. Schwarzenegger and Attorney General Brown have said that the Legislature has the power to abolish marriage and yank marriage rights from husbands and wives."

Petition drive organizers said while the passage of the same-sex marriage plan was objectionable, the real danger rests in the court ruling expected next year. They believe the court will rule that homosexual "marriages" are allowed in all of California, overturning Proposition 22, which was endorsed by nearly two-thirds of California voters.

However, Proposition 22 was a statute, and not a constitutional amendment, and since that vote lawmakers and courts have been whittling away at its meaning. One court decision concluded the proposition protected the word "marriage," but not any associated rights or privileges.

"Time is running out for generous souls to leave the legacy of marriage to future generations through the VoteYesMarriage.com amendment," said Randy Thomasson, one of the drive's organizers.

"If we don't rescue marriage now, marriage for a man and a woman can easily be destroyed in the law. But our democracy is founded on government of the people, by the people, and for the eople," he said. "It's time for the people to rise up to protect marriage rights once and for all for one man and one woman."

Thomasson also noted there is a majority of judges on the state Supreme Court bench in San Francisco to "destroy the definition of marriage and utterly shred the people's vote on marriage."

Homosexual advocates praised the Senate's move.

"It's the people's representatives in the largest state in the nation doing this," said Geoff Kors, of Equality California, a homosexual advocacy organization.

Others had a different perspective.

"Twenty-one Democrats in the Senate took it upon themselves to redefine marriage," said Benjamin Lopez, who lobbies for the family oriented Traditional Values Coalition. "They're saying that 4.6 million Californians are wrong."

California's decision is not the same as recent moves in Connecticut, or Vermont, where "civil unions" were instituted. Massachusetts is the only state to grant full marriage rights to homosexuals.

After the 2000 vote, San Francisco officials started, on their own, issuing marriage licenses to homosexual duos. The state Supreme Court struck that down, setting up the case now pending before the state Supreme Court.

As was reported just weeks ago, state lawmakers have been largely supportive of an agenda pursuing homosexual marriage rights.

Senate Bill 11, authored by state Sen. Carole Migden of San Francisco, for example, was written to provide all the rights of "marriage" to unmarried men and women.

Canada Witnesses Surge in Same-Sex Unions

Canada’s latest "family portrait" is for the first time revealing a census count of same-sex "married" couples.

And according to Statistics Canada, which released the results on Wednesday, the number of same-sex couples has surged five times the pace of opposite-sex couples between 2001 and 2006.

In total, the 2006 census revealed 45,345 same-sex couples in Canada – 16.5 percent of which were “married” couples. Others were living in a common-law union.

The number of homosexual couples jumped 32.6 percent over the past five years while heterosexual couples grew only 5.9 percent. Overall, the total count of families in 2006 was 8,896,840, up 6.4 percent from 2001.

Further data showed that over half (53.7 percent) of same-sex "married" couples were men. About 9 percent of same-sex couples had children aged 24 years and under living in their home in 2006.

The presence of children was more common in female unions (16.3 percent) than male ones (2.9 percent). Census officials included same-sex couples in their 2006 count to reflect the results of Canada's legalization of same-sex "marriage."

Canada in 2005 became the third country in the world to legalize homosexual "marriage" nationwide, after the Netherlands and Belgium.

Spain and South Africa have since followed in legalizing it. Same-sex couples represented 0.6 percent of all couples in Canada in 2006, which is comparable to numbers reported in the United States, New Zealand and Australia.

I was an altar boy but I wasn’t molested. I have no one to blame but myself. Mom warned me Overton Park was a hangout for homosexuals. Sure enough, two ‘men’ in a car approached me. I was big for my age but they could see I was 13 . . . and loved me, asking if I had brothers or friends.

 

 Maybe I was seeking a father figure. Mom was divorced and brought home men from bars. Maybe I was imitating her? Given a car at 16, I drove around the park at night naked. Some men gave me money or pot. I guess that makes me a whore too? 

 

I dated girls. I caused an abortion at 19 . . . so no one would call me queer! No matter what they say, it IS a choice! I CHOSE! Being gay promised easy sex with no consequences. The joke’s on me, huh? 

 

Fresh out of college, I met a married man in a gay bar. ‘Dan’ shared me with his 18-year-old son, his law clerk, a high school math teacher, and more. He set me up to be used by five Marines. ‘Dan’ died of AIDS. 

 

I earned an MBA, raises, promotions, and awards, but after 5 pm, my hobby was sex with men. Oh, I biked, ran, and worked out, but only to make myself desirable to men (and cruise gym showers).   

 

Under my $800 suits and $100 shirts, my nipples were pierced with rings to make them as sensitive as a woman’s.  

 

 Co-workers described me as professional, conservative, even shy, yet on vacation I performed fellatio in bathhouses, in bars, and on the streets of San Francisco and New Orleans.  

 

 I was photographed and videotaped at parties stripping, masturbating, and being ejaculated on by up to 20 men.  

 

For my 35th birthday, I was sodomized by 12 men in a bar in Amsterdam. I marched for Gay Pride wearing as little as possible, then was sodomized in porto-potties. A lifestyle to be proud of, huh?

 

 In dirty bookstores and restrooms, I performed fellatio on five to 10 men --- black, white, Mexican --- almost daily for 20 years, through holes in walls. Do the math. 55,000? I was a pig.

 

 I knew something was VERY wrong with me but counselors, even Christian ones, assured me homosexuality was normal, natural, and healthy.

 

 Healthy? I’ve had crabs --- pubic lice --- 20+ times in 20 years, in my beard and mustache as well as in my privates. Hepatitis from analingus. I avoided an AIDS test till I was diagnosed with CMV (cytomegalovirus) in my eyes. Oh, I knew what they’d find.

 

 Required by law to register with the health department, I spent a day downtown with prostitutes and drug addicts being tested for every STD imaginable. I was the only white male.  

 

 Clerks, nurses, and social workers were careful not to judge my lifestyle! Asked to name my last 20 partners, however, I broke down in tears.I had no idea.

 

 Thanks to alcohol and hepatitis, my liver can’t handle AIDS drugs. I feel fine but I’m waiting for the ax to fall.  

 

Diarrhea, blindness, dementia. In a year I’ll be on disability. In two years I’ll be in diapers. In three years I’ll be in Hell. I wake up with nightmares.

 

 A Calvinist said some people were predestined to go to Hell. Is this true? Am I one? How can I know?

Predestination is a theological teaching but though your heart WAS hard you are seemingly now seeing the error of your ways.

The bible tells me (not man or so called christian councilors and theologians - many of which teach their OWN OPINIONS) that...

I JOHN 1:8-10 "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

YES, I believe you can REPENT and turn from your past sins, which are many, and be saved. However, you must NOT return to them again.

John 8:3-11  "And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst, 4.  They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. 5.  Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou? 6.  This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not. 7.  So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. 8.  And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground. 9.  And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. 10.  When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? 11.  She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more."

The Catholic form of confession WILL NOT SAVE YOU! AND it was probably Catholic counselors that have confused you.

Salvation is not complicated but very simple...

ROMANS 10:9-11  "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10.  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11.  For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

A simple prayer for salvation you might say would be... "Father God I repent of my sins, I renounce homosexuality, I renounce any satanic connection and lifestyle, help me to change what life I have left and live only for you, give me the strength to help others see the error of the lies of homosexuality and help them see your way out of that terrible life of sin, I receive your Son Jesus as my Lord and Savoir, Jesus please come into my heart, save me from hell, I believe your word, wash me with the blood you shed on the cross at Calvary, please Lord Jesus cleanse me and make me whole again and I promise never to return to the sin of the homosexual lifestyle, I ask only that you save my soul from hell and allow me to be used of you, I need no other "PRIEST" but you Jesus and it it in your name, the precious and saving name of Jesus Christ, King of Kings and Lord of Lords I pray... AMEN!

I CORINTHIANS 6:9-11 KJV  "Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate (BroJ note: HOMOSEXUALS), nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10.  Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. 11.  And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God."
