Title
#1: We
Are These --- Title #2:
Do Not Jump Ship
Acts
27:31
Paul said to the centurion and to the soldiers,
Except
these
abide
in the ship, ye cannot be saved.
these: houtos,
hoo'-tos, such as, the same, these, they, this (man, same, woman), which, who
The
Apostle Paul was saying “Don’t Jump Ship!” and the word “these,” in translation
context, means BOTH GENDERS! That’s you Brother! That’s
you Sister!
We
need to "abide"
meno, men'-o; a prim.
verb; to stay (in a given place, state, relation or expectancy):--abide,
continue, dwell, endure, be present, remain, stand, tarry
Jesus said in John 15:5,6
that He was the vine, we are the branches and “abiding”
in Him brings forth much fruit; for without Him we can do nothing. If we do not
“abide”
our branch is cast off
and it will wither (die). But if we “abide”
we can ask and it
shall be done. Think about it! Is that where Paul stood?.. in confidence and Faith
on that boat!
30 And as the shipmen were about to flee
out of the ship, when they had let down the boat into the sea, under colour
as though they would have cast anchors out of the foreship,
flee:
pheugo, fyoo'-go; appar. a prim. verb; to run away (lit. or
fig.); by impl. to shun; by anal. to vanish:--escape, flee (away).
colour:
prophasis,
prof'-as-is; from a comp. of G4253 and G5316; an outward showing, i.e.
pretext:--cloke, colour, pretence, show
They
were being deceptive in their actions, what they appeared to be like from the
outside was NOT what they were like on the inside, pretending to do one thing while actually
planning and executing another.
31 Paul said to the centurion and to the
soldiers, Except these abide
in the ship, ye cannot be saved.
Paul
was saying to the one "in charge" and to those who were under his
command, if they allowed this to happen, even if they stayed on the ship, even if
they did not jump ship with the others, THEY WOULD NOT BE SAVED! (do you think
we could stretch this to include pastor's, other leaders and
congregations?)
32 Then the
soldiers cut off the ropes of the boat, and let her fall off.
When
we preach the True or "Full Gospel," we cut off the ropes of escape. .
.
We
can learn at least three good spiritual principles here…
1.
We cannot fool God, as He knew the heart and intent of the shipmen (these).
- The
“abiding” man of God through the gift of discernment, cannot also be
fooled.
3.
As
preachers and leaders (soldiers), by the preaching of the true Gospel and a life that
reveals our close relationship, we can cut the ropes and keep the
shipmen in the ship!

A
PROPHETIC SHARING... During the service this morning while I was
seeking Him the Lord spoke into me that I was to just share, as I am about to
do.... "We sang about 'sinking sand' and I believe this is a time when
things are going to be swallowed up. My wife and I know what it is to have
everything 'swallowed up". To loose everything, absolutely everything. To
come home and find a charred ruin. And that is a humbling experience to have to
trust God in that. God is speaking in this natural rendition of the spiritual
this morning. The Lord spoke to me this morning about Tradition, the traditions
of men. And, as He spoke to me about the traditions of men He said He was not in
the Tradition. He said to me it was like the Ark, the Ark was placed in the
traditions of men. Do you understand what I am saying? In other words when the
Ark was placed within the Tabernacle in the wilderness, the instruction that was
given to Moses was taken by men and made into Tradition. And so the Ark was
placed in the Tradition. God said He was not in the Ark. He was not in the
Tradition, He was not in the Ark. God said He was not even on top of the ARK. He
was not in the Cherubim on the Ark. But God said He was somewhere between the
wings of the Cherubim. Now I know I have preached that before, so this part may
be coming from me, I don't know. But I do know that when God spoke to the
children of Israel and said He was between the wings of the Cherubim, He was
trying to tell them that He was in a place of relationship where they could not
box Him in. But if they would meet Him there, between the wings of the Cherubim,
there they could find Him. They could not find Him inside the Ark, or inside
their Tradition. And, God spoke to me that when Uzzah reached out to steady the
Ark (2 SAMUEL 6:6 KJV "And when they came to Nachon's
threshingfloor, Uzzah put forth his hand to the ark of God, and took hold of it;
for the oxen shook it. 7 And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Uzzah;
and God smote him there for his error; and there he died by the ark of God."),
when Tradition reached out to steady the Ark like those of today have been
carrying their Traditions that way, it angered God. So, this priest reached out
not in Relationship but he reached out in tradition and died. The minute he
touched the Ark he died, because he touched with Tradition the Holiness of God.
We need to have a Relationship with God that does not involve Tradition. God
does not like Tradition. He doesn't like it. He would not let it touch Him and
we cannot let it touch us. And that was what the Lord gave me this morning. I
could not give it aloud as a prophecy, I'm not sure why. But I do know there is
'sinking sand.'
For yea says the Lord, I am not
in your tradition, I Am not in the ways of men, for my ways are not your ways
says the Lord, and that which you have set into place is not what I have set
into place, come, come out, and come to me says God, hear my word, hear my
voice, understand my ways, for I say unto you this world has yet to see the
things that have been called into being for a (can't understand word on
tape, sounds like "disease" Now after the
terrorist attack on NYC Twin Towers, I wonder "IF" that word was
"DISASTER!?!" ) says God, come out from among them,
seek my face, hear my voice, do my will, for I say unto you my children, that
unto you has been given the responsibility, the responsibility of relationship,
the responsibility of who I AM, come, seek, feel, hear, see, taste, for I AM the
Lord, dose not the first commandment say that thou shalt have no other Gods
before me, come out, come out I say, come out from the world system, have faith,
believe, seek me, says God.

Disciples
Indeed all verses are from the King James Version
Some years ago (I
won't tell how many) I had a professor in Bible School who taught me the
Biblical covenant principle of "IF/THEN." I cannot remember how many
time I heard in class from his lips: "If You do the If, Then You get the
Then!" God's covenants work that way and I have never forgotten it or that
man of God. I cannot help but think this plays a major role in the forming of
"Disciples Indeed!"
JOHN 8:31 KJV 31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If
ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples
indeed; 32 And ye
shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
JOHN 8:31 KJV Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, "If
[ the if before
the then] ean,
eh-an';a conditional particle; in case that, provided, etc.; often used in connection with other particles to denote indefiniteness or uncertainty
ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples
mathetes, math-ay-tes'; a learner, i.e.
pupil:--disciple. indeed;
alethos, al-ay-thoce'; adv. from G227; truly:--indeed, surely, of a surety, truly, of a (in) truth, verily, very. 32 And
ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." eleutheroo,
el-yoo-ther-o'-o; to liberate, i.e. (fig.) to exempt (from mor., cer. or mortal liability):--deliver, make free.
One scripture command of our
Lord was in Matthew 28:"Go
ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father,
and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:" 20 Teaching
them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with
you alway, even unto the end of the world.
There are disciples to be made
and a Heavenly Battle rages over them. One of theses battle grounds is our
public schools were our Holy Bible was removed and replaced with New Age
Teachings. There is of course "NO new thing under the sun." so these
are just the old satanic teachings with a new title!.....
ISAIAH 8:19 KJV "And when they
shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, 'owb, obe; from the same as H1 (appar. through the idea of prattling a father's name); prop. a mumble, i.e. a water-skin (from its hollow sound); hence a necromancer (ventriloquist, as from a jar):--bottle, familiar spirit.
and unto wizards yidde'oniy, yid-deh-o-nee'; from H3045; prop. a knowing one; spec. a conjurer; (by
impl.) a ghost:--wizard. that peep, tsaphaph, tsaw-faf'; a prim. root; to coo or chirp (as a bird):--chatter, peep, whisper...
and that mutter: hagah, haw-gaw'; a prim. root; to murmur (in pleasure or anger); by impl. to ponder:--imagine, meditate, mourn, mutter, roar, X sore, speak, study, talk, utter.
should not a people seek unto their God?" gods in the ordinary sense;
and sometimes as a superlative:--angels, X exceeding, God (gods) (-dess, -ly),
20....word, it is because there is no light in them.
Cross reference to the word "peep:" Isaiah 29:4 "And
thou shalt be brought down, and shalt speak out of the ground, and thy speech
shall be low out of the dust, and thy voice shall be, as of one that hath a
familiar spirit, out of the ground, and thy speech shall whisper out of the
dust."]
What can you do? Everything!
Teach the nations by starting with people ONE AT A TIME. Wars are not won by
fighting and winning just one battle. Nor are they lost by the loosing of just
one battle! Take up the Cross daily, Fight the good fight, Finish the
race.
THIS WILL PREACH! Just the
title of this outline WILL PREACH in many different ways. Pray and let the Lord
expand it for you to fit precisely into your place of ministry....
MATTHEW 10:22 KJV
"And
ye shall be hated
---------------------------------------------------------------------
The Last Generation all verses are from the King James Version
We are, I believe the
generation that has seen "the fig tree blossom." That blossoming has
brought a return to traditionalism of religion, the very thing I believe that
Jesus cursed the Fig tree for....
MATTHEW 24:32 KJV "Now learn a
parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth
leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: 33 So likewise
ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall
not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
HEBREWS 11:5 KJV "By faith Enoch was
translated metatithemi, met-at-ith'-ay-mee; to transfer, i.e. (lit.) transport, (by
impl.) exchange, (reflex.) change sides that he should not see death; and
was not found litterally "seen", because
God had translated him: for before his
translation he had this testimony, martureo, mar-too-reh'-o;
to be a witness, i.e. testify (lit. or fig.):--charge, give [evidence], bear record, have (obtain, of) good (honest) report, be well reported of, testify, give (have) testimony, (be, bear, give, obtain)
witness, that *he
pleased euaresteo,
yoo-ar-es-teh'-o; to gratify entirely,--please (well), God."
crf: MATTHEW 3:16 KJV "And Jesus, when he was baptized, went
up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and
he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: 17 And
lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom *I
am well pleased. 4:1 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness
to be tempted of the devil."
MATTHEW 24:32 KJV "Now learn a
parable of the fig tree;....that it is near, even at the doors"....Israel
, like this Nation and this World had gone "afar off," (MARK 11:13)
Jesus had found nothing that could bring or sustain life on the tree. In the
"spiritual" sense there was nothing left that could bring
"spiritual life." All that was left was tradition and doctrine that
prevented their entering into the Kingdom of Heaven. Not only that but their
teachings prevented others from entering in! They were (and are) keeping people
from finding God! THIS IS NOT PLEASING TO GOD!
MATTHEW 7:13 KJV "Enter ye in at the strait
gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction,
and many there be which go in thereat: 14 Because
strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few
there be that find it. 15 Beware of false prophets,
which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather
grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17 Even so
every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth
evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil
fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19 Every
tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. 21
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall
enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which
is in heaven."
MARK 11:20 KJV "And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the
fig tree dried up from the roots. 21 And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto
him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away. 22 And
Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in
God."
JUDE 1:14 KJV "And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of
these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,
15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them
of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their
hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him."
MATTHEW 28:19 KJV "Go ye therefore, and teach
all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of
the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all
things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto
the end of the world. Amen."
Are we the Last Generation, an Enoch Generation that
will not see death?? If so we had better get BUSY, pleasing God euaresteo,
and
producing "timely fruit!" olunthos, ol'-oon-thos; of uncert. der.; an unripe (because out of season) fig:--untimely fig
on the fig tree of Rev 6:13!)

Raised On The Last Day

John 6:34 Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore ...always...at
all tines give us this bread.

not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto
everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the
Father sealed.
John 6:35 And Jesus said unto them, I am Greek:

him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast ...drive (out), expel, leave, pluck (pull, take, thrust) out, put forth (out), send away (forth, out)...out.
38 For I came...descended...
down from heaven, ...(as the abode of God); by impl. happiness, power, eternity; spec. the Gospel (Christianity):--air, heaven ([-ly]), sky...not

that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up
again at the last day.
crf: John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I

is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.
30 I and my Father are one.
40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every
one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I
will raise him up at the last day....eschatos,

JUST
YOU AND JESUS (reprinted)
Three
professional type people on a hike came upon an unlocked cabin deep in the
woods. Receiving no response to their knocks, they went inside to find only one
room, simply furnished. Nothing seemed unusual except that the large,
potbellied, cast iron stove was hung from the ceiling, suspended in mid air by
wires.
The
psychologist said, “It is obvious this lonely trapper has elevated his stove
so he can curl up under it and experience a return to the womb.” The engineer
responded, “Nonsense! This is thermodynamics! He has found a new way to
distribute heat more evenly in his cabin.” The theologian interrupted,
“I’m sure this has a religious meaning. Fire ‘lifted up’ has been a
religious symbol for millennia.”
As
the three debated, the owner of the cabin returned. The hikers immediately asked
him why the stove was hung by wires from the ceiling. He replied succinctly,
“I had plenty of wire, but not much stove pipe.”
Others
may try to second-guess your motives, downplay your ideas or insult you, but
only you know why you do what you do, what you think and feel, and how you
relate to God.

JUNE
2000 "The Liberal Church":
From the Heart & Desk of AIGA Field Director Rev. R.
Johnson
One morning as I spent my time with the Lord praying and
reading the scriptures, a particular verse jumped out at me. It was Acts 22:9
concerning the Apostle Paul’s Damascus road experience…
"v9 And they that were with me saw indeed the light, and were
afraid; but they heard not the voice of him that spake to me.
I realized in a new way that every foe, every hindrance,
every weakness will be defeated when we accept His Word and embrace it! In our
day, even as in Paul’s, too many people are selling out and betraying the
cross of Jesus Christ for things that are temporal. Looking for quick fixes,
temporary pleasure , settling for less than God’s best! In this hour God is
speaking, but though many “see the light,”
they simply have not gone deep enough in God to “hear the voice that spake!”
In this hour God is speaking to His Church to stay on the
right path. Do not veer to the right nor to the left but keep centered on
the cross of Christ! Do not give heed to all the confusing noises of “The
Liberal Church” that is saying you can live as you want to, do whatever, and
God will accept you. Friend, find that in the Bible – you can’t!
Did you ever just copy someone you trusted thinking you could
not be doing anything wrong? I have been there, done that! But the Father still
knew that it was wrong. Proverbs
4:15 Avoid it, pass not by it, turn
from it, and pass away.
1] “Avoid
it,” keep the evil at a
distance. ‘Empty out’ your life of it!
2] “Pass not,” just do not go near it or even
go by it’s proximity (location). Don’t even consider the path of the wicked
and don’t get caught up in the confusion!
3] “Turn from,” to go in the opposite direction!
4] “And pass away,” to remove from sight, not to be
alive. Do not loose sight of the Cross. With it we can die to sin and arise
alive in Christ! When Faith becomes Action God’s heart is moved. Putting God
first is a priority and the key to opening the windows of heaven!
AMEN!

PROPER
DOMAIN JUDE VERSE 6
From the Heart & Desk of AIGA Field Director Rev. R.
Johnson
Jude 1:6
KJV And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own
habitation Jude 1: 6 NLT And I remind you of the angels who did not stay within
the limits of authority God gave them but left the place where they belonged.
In the KJV “first estate” translates “PROPER
DOMAIN.” I believe that our father in Heaven assigns us all a place of Proper
Domain. This is a place of position or authority that is God given to each and
every one of us within the Kingdom of God. Our Heavenly Father knows us better
than we know ourselves, so when we step out of our God given Domain we falter
and sometimes even fail. It is so important for us to understand the positioning
that is set before us by God. Each level has been placed there to support the
structure of God’s Heavenly City the New Jerusalem. When God gave direction to
build the tabernacle in the wilderness He did not even leave out the remotest
(finest) detail. Everything had it’s own size, dimension and placement.
Everything fit perfectly because a perfect God designed it!
If it is hard
for us to understand that there are places of Dominion, it will be even harder
to understand that there are levels of Dominion.
Jude
1:6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own
habitation, he hath reserved.
They kept NOT their first estate (Proper Dominion), but
they left their own habitation. The place were God had set them so that the
foundation of His Kingdom might be properly supported. The place where they were
to “habitually” live and perform their duties just like you and me. I have
begun to understand that if we will open our minds and hearts to this concept,
we will find that we will have a reduced amount of stress in our physical
beings! Stress affects the mind (our thinking processes) and our body, as well
as our spiritual being. It can infect us so deeply that our ministries and our
spirits can change negatively without our even realizing it. We can even begin
to v8 “despise dominion.”
Jude
1:8 KJV Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion,
and speak evil of dignities.
Jude
1:8 NLT Yet these false teachers, who claim authority from their dreams, live
immoral lives, defy authority, and scoff at the power of the glorious ones.
“Despise Dominion” translates to “reject authority”
and also “to set aside, i.e. (by implication) to disesteem, neutralize or
violate:--cast off, despise, disannul, frustrate, bring to naught.
It is a very touchy subject when we get into prophesying to
ourselves or into interpreting our own dreams. These are areas where the flesh
can easily confuse or defile.
“Dignities” translates “glorious ones” and also
1391. doxa, dox'-ah; from the base of G1380; glory (as very apparent), in a wide
application (lit. or fig., obj. or subj.):--dignity, glory (-ious), honour,
praise, worship. At least in my mind there is an association to the title of
this message of “Proper Domain.”
Rom 13:7 KJV Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is
due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.
Rom
13:7 NLT give respect and honor to all to whom it is due.
Proper Domain gives respect and honor to all, dignities
(dignitaries?), glorious ones, to whom it is due. To the Pastor of a Church,
Elder, Deacon, Sunday school teacher, among others you might think of. But how
about our Association, from the lowest position, to the position of our General
President, the head of our Corporate Board of Directors.
Division creeps in many times unawares and it usually
begins through despising or rejecting authority (Jude 1:8 despise dominion).
Jude
1:16 KJV These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and
their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having
men's persons in admiration because of advantage.
Jude
1:16 NLT These people are grumblers and complainers, doing whatever evil they
feel like. They are loudmouthed braggarts, and
they flatter others to get favors in return.
Let’s concentrate on the bolded portions of this
scripture. This is an area of definite contention in the Church as a whole
today. It is extremely deceptive since when involving two people each will seem
to feel that the other is doing it and refuse to look at themselves instead of
just applying it to the other person. I do not know if each reader is following
me in this but be assured it affects each and everyone who attempts to serve God
and live righteously. What can you do? Only one thing, give situations
concerning “Proper Domain” over to the one who determines them in the first
place!
Jude
1:9 KJV Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed
about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but
said, The Lord rebuke thee.
Jude
1:9 NLT But even Michael, one of the mightiest of the angels, did not dare
accuse Satan of blasphemy, but simply said, "The
Lord rebuke you." (This took
place when Michael was arguing with Satan about Moses' body.)
Jesus said in Matthew 22:21 “ Render
therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and unto God the things
that are God's.” It seems best
when something becomes an argument that we lay it at the feet of Him who can
best determine how to handle it without contest.
I received a letter from AIGA
Headquarters in the mail that my wife brought to me as I typed this. In my life
it immediately took “Proper Dominion” over this and I stopped to open it. It
contained the following words that are fitting to end this message. “It’s
amazing how we are now in the New Millennium and closer to our Lord Jesus
Christ’s return. We look to the future with excitement and anticipation. This
is the time to get serious about our Fathers business for surely the fields
are white with harvest.”
To this I can only add, AMEN! Let’s
get serious and get down to His business!

The Region AND The
Shadow
From the Heart & Desk of AIGA Field Director Rev. R.
Johnson
Matthew
4:16 The
people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the
region and shadow of death light is sprung up.
Isn't
it great to know that light is sprung up and is available today to all those who
accept the work of the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. But much of this world is
dangerously close once more to "the region and the shadow of death"
described by this verse. If you are a Christian it is your job as the Lord's
representative today to let that light shine in the dark places today just as
the "shadow" of it did then, but even brighter. You see today we have
more than the "shadow" we have the real thing! (and it's not coke
either!)
PEOPLE: 2992. laos, lah-os'; appar. a prim.
word; a people (in gen.; thus differing from G1218, which denotes one's own
populace):--people.
DARKNESS: 655.
skotos, skot'-os; from the base of G4639; shadiness, i.e. obscurity (lit.
or fig.):--darkness.
LIGHT:
5457. phos, foce; from an obsol. phao
(to shine or make manifest, espec. by rays; comp. G5316, G5346);
luminousness (in the widest application, nat. or artificial, abstr. or concr.,
lit. or fig.):--fire, light.
SHADOW: 4639. skia, skee'-ah; appar. a prim. word;
"shade" or a shadow (lit. or fig. [darkness of error or an
adumbration]):--shadow.
AD-UM-BRA’-TION: (Webster’s
Unabridged Dictionary) a faint sketch or outline; An imperfect
representation of a thing; A foreshadowing indication in advance
JOB 3:5-
Let darkness and the SHADOW
of death stain it; [or challenge it.]
..let the blackness of the day terrify it. [or, let
them terrify it, as those who have a bitter day.]
SHADOW:
6757. tsalmaveth, tsal-maw'-veth; from H6738 and H419 shade
of death, i.e. the grave (fig. calamity):--shadow of death
There is a “stain” affecting the Abundant life,
causing an unwanted discoloring of the truth. It is a challenge to those who
“Love the Lord and are called according to His purposes!” The army of the
Lord needs to rise up and meet this challenge head on. Did you ever notice that
there is no armor in Ephesians 6 for our backs? Could it be that
we are not to turn our backs on the enemy, but instead we are to face him
down?. “When God be for us who can be against us”. The grave holds no
“terror” for those who are the Lord’s! It could not hold Him and it will
not hold those who are His! (up from the grave He arose, with a mighty triumph
over His foes)
PSALM
23:1- A Psalm of David. The
LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the
still waters. 3
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his
name's sake. 4
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I
will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they
comfort me. 5
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou
anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. 6
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I
will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
Verse
4: “I will fear no evil:”……(crf
Mathew 7:11 follows..)
Fear is the opposite of (or opposes)
Faith. Hebrews 11:1 says Faith is a substance Something that has substance is
touchable. We can get a hold of it if we try! Fear on the other hand is something that can get a hold of us if we are not careful.
MATTHEW
7:6> Give
not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine,
lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.
That
word “rend” is very interesting…..
REND:
4486. rhegnumi, hrayg'-noo-mee; or
rhesso, hrace'-so; both prol. forms of
rheko (which appears only in certain forms, and is itself prob. a
strengthened form of ag-nu-mi [see
in G2608]); to "break", "wreck" or "crack", i.e. (espec.)
to sunder (by separation of the parts; G2608 being its intensive [with the
prep. in comp.], and G2352 a shattering to minute fragments; but not a reduction
to the constituent particles, like G3089) or disrupt, lacerate; by impl. to
convulse (with spasms); fig. to give vent to joyful emotions:--break
(forth), burst, rend, tear.
If
the enemy can bring fear into our lives, he can “separate” us from that
wonderful love of God that with it brings the “peace that passes all
understanding.”
MATTHEW
7:6> Give not
that which is holy unto the doges, neither cast ye your pearls before swine,
lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you. 7
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye
shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: 8
For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that
seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. 9
Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask
bread, will he give him a stone? 10
Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?
11 If ye then, being evil,
know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father
which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?
12 Therefore
all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them:
for this is the law and the prophets
Verse 11
If
ye then, being evil……
GENESIS
6:5> 5 And
God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every
imagination….
The Hebrew word for imaginations signifies not only
the imagination, but also the purposes
and desires. God knows the nature of man. It became clear very early in the
beginning of creation. The only way men can overcome is to receive God’s plan
of redemption through the cleansing power of the shed blood of Jesus Christ at
the cross of Calvary. One other special avenue that helps us overcome mam’s
evil nature is to apply that redemption as in the latter part of Matthew chapter
seven and verse eleven… Therefore all
things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them:
for this is the law and the prophets. Some may
know this part by the popular term The Golden Rule.”
GENESIS
6:5 And God saw that the wickedness of man
was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart
was only evil continually. 6
And it repented the LORD…..
REPENTED: 5162.
nacham, naw-kham'; a prim. root; prop. to sigh, i.e. breathe strongly; by
impl. to be sorry, i.e. (in a favorable sense) to pity, console, or
(reflex.) rue; or (unfavorably) to avenge (oneself):--comfort (self),
ease [one's self], repent (-er, -ing, self).
GENESIS
6:5> And it repented the LORD that he had
made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.
6
And Noah builded an altar unto the LORD; and took
of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on
the altar.
21
And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD
said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake;
for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again
smite any more every thing living, as I have done.
MATTHEW
7:6 Give
not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine,
lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.
7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek,
and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: 8 For every one that asketh receiveth;
and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
9 Or what man is there of you, whom if
his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? 10 Or if he ask a fish, will he give him
a serpent? 11 If ye then, being
evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall
your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?
12 Therefore all things
whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them:
for this is the law and the prophets. 13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for
wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many
there be which go in thereat: 14
Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto
life, and
few there be that find it.
V14 and few there be that find it…. Will
You Be One? Time is short! Jesus may return soon!
MATTHEW 24:37>
But as the days of Noe
[Noah: i.e. Noach]
were, so shall also the coming of the Son of
man be.
The world
TODAY has never been as close to returning to the SHADOW of Matthew 24:37 (the
days of Noe) as it is, right now. We are dangerously close to “THE REGION AND
(“and”-Matthew 4:16…”of”- Psalm 23:4) OF THE SHADOW OF DEATH.
Will this
hasten the return of Jesus Christ to this earth?
What do you
think!

Personal
Ministry, does it put God First?
From the Heart & Desk of AIGA Field Director Rev. R.
Johnson (1-7-00)
I’ll bet some expect me by the title to expound on a lot
of scriptures to prove my point, however I’m not going to do that. I’ll
leave the Biblical exegesis to those who are much better at it than I. We all
know that the Bible talks about a personal relationship with the Lord and only
Savior of this world, Jesus Christ. We know that same Bible tells us that we are
to put Jesus Christ FIRST, in everything, as He is the Alpha & Omega, the
beginning and the end of all things.
Somehow it seems to me that Christianity today has gotten
just a little too personal. Am I saying that having a personal relationship with
Jesus Christ is wrong? God forbid! No, but I am saying that the ‘you’ in
that relationship is second to the ‘HE’, which is FIRST. Remember the bumper
stickers of a few years ago that innocently seemed to proclaim “God Is My
Co-Pilot”? Every time I saw one of those things, it nauseated me because it
appeared, at least to me, that the owner was deceived in his or her relationship
with Jesus Christ. God is not anyone’s co-pilot, God is the Pilot of
everything, He is the Captain of captains, the General of generals. God is the
big “I” and we are all the little “U’s.”
Maybe it is time we take a good look at ‘our’ ministry,
‘our’ Church, ‘our’ Fellowship, ‘our’ Organization or any other name
constantly being “canned”! FIRST of all they are not ‘ours’ but His! Is
there anybody reading this that thinks any real, true ministry comes from
somewhere or someone other than God? I sincerely hope not. Yet I see people
constantly that seem to put great emphasis on putting their ministry objectives
and sometimes even their wallets, FIRST. Have I missed something? Isn’t Jesus
Christ supposed to be the number one pilot? Or has the co-pilot bumper sticker
become a ministry sticker. Money has become the pilot of many ministries who
will not come and minister without a set amount up front. What happened to Faith
ministries who put their trust in Jehovah Jireh , God our provider? Now I know
some will also misuse a Faith ministry, but that is where ‘wisdom’ comes in
and that is another dissertation.
Putting God FIRST may sometimes take the kind of faith that
is willing to do “Pro Bono” work for God. I was laid off of a secular job
after 30+ years of service to my employer. When I went to unemployment I told
them I was a minister but at that time the Church was small and I was not
receiving any pay. I even put it in writing for their file. I had to wait for
awhile and reapply because of some vacation pay. A year or so later I received a
summons that I had never told them and they were charging me with fraud. During
that year I had received a reimbursement that contained $1.67 (yes one dollar
& 67 cents!) more than the reimbursement called for and they said it
strengthened their case against me! I had no money and maintained my innocence,
declaring the information was in my file. They said there was nothing there to
back up my claim and it would go to court unless I would pay back most of what I
had received. I refused saying I was innocent and God would vindicate me. I went
to legal aide as I had no money and they put me in touch with a female lawyer,
in a top office, in a large town. She agreed to take my case Pro Bono, which
means free in legalese! When court time came we still had no proof that I had
ever submitted the paper saying I was a Pastor. The lawyer for NYS unemployment,
a male, came totally unprepared. I
am stipulating gender only because I found God had a plan and the secular world
fell right into it! The judge you see was also a female like my lawyer! She
immediately rebuked the male lawyer for being unprepared while my lawyer was
ready to proceed. I’ve seen many lazy lawyers like that who were court
assigned to the poor and they went to jail. So this guy said wait a minute while
I look at the file. He was gone a long time and the judge sent someone after
him. He came back with not one but two files. One being the original file that
contained of all things, the statement that I was a Pastor but not being paid
and if that was a problem I requested NOT to receive the unemployment. He tried
to hide that paper and the judge made him take it out and place it into
evidence. Praise God, He is a 12:01 God! The judge ruled to dismiss the case on
the grounds I could not have known that one file had been closed and a new one
opened! Then he brought up the $1.67 and the judge just laughed and threw that
out also. My lawyer (unsaved but witnessed to) was proud as a peacock and being
grateful to her for all she had done I carefully let her know that she had had
God’s help.
I do not know about anyone else but I know God has never
failed my faith. Quite the contrary, I’ve discovered that God is a lot bigger
than ‘my’ faith! In all the years I’ve been in ministry, the sum total of
the dollars I have been paid, would not even be equal to the average secular
salary for even one half a year. We are not supposed to be in the ministry for
the money, that is called a job. Yes, it is ok to get paid as we all need to
survive, but it is not to be FIRST in our ministry, that’s all I am saying.
I’m just saying that we need to put God FIRST so He can Bless His
Ministry---“sters”!
Jude is a great Bible book as I can always get the
chapter right….17
But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the
apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; 18 How
that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk
after their own ungodly lusts. 19 These
be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit. 20
But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying
in the Holy Ghost, 21 Keep
yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ
unto eternal life. 22 And of some have
compassion, making a difference: 23 And
others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment
spotted by the flesh. 24 Now
unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless
before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, 25
To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and
majesty, dominion and power, both now and for ever. Amen.
